Running to represent Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Hibberts Gore, Jefferson, Louds Island UT, Monhegan Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Waldoboro, Washington, Westport Island, Whitefield, Windsor, and Wiscasset in the Maine Senate.
After graduating from Lincoln Academy, Cameron earned an undergraduate degree from Guilford College in North Carolina and a Master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Southern Maine.
She has since spent her career in public service, working with Maine children and families as a public school counselor and representing her hometown in Augusta.

Sen. Reny was first elected to the 131st Maine Legislature in November 2022, and re-elected in November 2024.
In her first term, Reny was appointed Senate Chair of the Committee on Marine Resources and a member of the Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services Committee. She has also served on a Commission to Expand Access to Oral Health Care and the Maine Climate Council. She currently serves on the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee and the Joint Standing Committee on Marine Resources.
Cameron pays close attention to the ways that decisions impact constituents like you – including those living in rural parts of the district and relying on Maine’s working waterfront and heritage industries to survive.

The economy improves when regular people have buying power. We need creative solutions so everyone has access to better jobs that pay living wages and affordable housing, childcare, and utilities.
We must preserve a future for our communities without taking away people’s livelihoods. Cameron advocates for legislation that supports the local economies and heritage industries vital to her district.
