Cameron supports bold action to preserve a future for our communities without taking away people’s livelihoods.Senator Reny has supported legislation to support small businesses and heritage industries throughout her four years in Augusta. Her bill to&nbsp;support elver fishing&nbsp;passed in her first term, and she proposed legislation to&nbsp;protect marine resources in Maine. She worked to amend the law governing watercraft franchisor warranty reimbursements so Maine dealers, who tend to be small businesses, could negotiate with their multi-national corporate counterparts.Senator Reny has served two terms on the Joint Standing Committee on Marine Resources (one term as Senate Chairperson) and on the Maine Climate Council as a member of the Coastal and Marine Working Group.

She is focused on improving the economic development in SD13 so everyone has access to better jobs that pay living wages and affordable housing, childcare, and utilities.In her second term, Senator Reny passed bills to protect mobile home communities and expand rural affordable rental housing programs. Sen. Reny’s bills to&nbsp;expand workforce housing in rural Maine&nbsp;and&nbsp;examine hazardous occupations for minors&nbsp;also passed in her first term. Reny also proposed legislation to&nbsp;create affordable housing&nbsp;through cooperative and employee-owned businesses and building new affordable housing in the district.Throughout her four years in the legislature, Sen.
